I am an industrial engineer with a technical focus and worked for almost eight years as a labour inspector at the Labour Inspectorate Salzburg (Arbeitsinspektorat Salzburg). Before and after that I worked in industry: 17 years at Salinen Austria in evaporated salt and potassium sulphate production, latterly in production management. Plus three years as production manager PCC at Calmit in Bad Ischl.

Since summer 2025 I have been running my engineering office LEMCON.TECH. My clients are companies that take occupational safety seriously. Or that have to take it seriously because the authority is at the door. Both get the same: technically sound work that knows and respects day-to-day operations.

From labour inspector to engineering office

  1. Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration (Betriebswirtschaftslehre) at the Hamburger Fern-Hochschule, extending the industrial engineering diploma already completed

  2. Sworn and court-certified expert witness (allgemein beeideter und gerichtlich zertifizierter Sachverständiger), specialist field 09.40 Technisches Unfallwesen und Arbeitsschutz (technical accident analysis and occupational safety and health)

  3. Certification as engineer (Ing.) under the Austrian Engineers Act (Ingenieurgesetz)

  4. Certification as European Engineer (EUR ING)

  5. Certification as safety specialist (Sicherheitsfachkraft, SFK) under the SFK-VO, plus the additional qualification “Österreichische SFK in Deutschland” (Austrian safety specialist in Germany)

  11. Salinen Austria AG, Ebensee: 17 years in the process industry, from plant and shift supervisor via assistant and head of potassium sulphate production to deputy head of primary production and research & development

Alongside my ongoing consulting work, I completed a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Not because I had to, but because technical depth noticeably improves the quality of my work. And because I like to take the time to understand things properly.

My approach

How I work

I come to you. Occupational safety does not work from behind a desk. The most important lesson from my time as a labour inspector was this: paper and the shop floor are two different worlds, and the bridge between them can only be built on site.

I explain rather than just document. A thick safety and health protection document (SiGe-Dokument) gathering dust on a shelf protects no one. My safety briefings and advice aim to make sure your people understand why something matters. Not just that it has to be signed.

I tell you what isn’t right. That is the uncomfortable side of my work. But as a labour inspector I learned that a warning left unspoken becomes a problem at the latest with the next accident. Better to be awkward once than too late once.
