Industrial engineering consulting

Strategic and operational consulting at the interface between engineering and business. Process optimisation, investment appraisal and production controlling for technical businesses, with hands-on experience from industry, most recently in production management.

Scope: no tax advice or auditing

Industrial engineering is the interface between engineering and business. I think in terms of production processes, investment calculations and operational workflows. What I do not have is a trade licence for tax advice, auditing or classic management consulting (Austrian Economic Chamber, WKO). Tax, accounting-law or formal audit matters are for tax advisers and auditors; pure strategy consulting is for management consultants. Where our competences overlap, I am happy to work with such professionals.

Industrial engineers think between two worlds

An industrial engineer is neither half an engineer nor half a business person, but the specialist for everything that happens between the two. When does a conversion pay off? Which production model suits which cost profile? How do you translate technical KPIs into decision papers for management?

This is exactly the interface I serve for my clients, with a detailed technical understanding (industrial engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering) and a business background (bachelor’s degree in business administration in progress, industrial experience in the process industry and in production management).
