Work equipment inspection
Many items of work equipment and technical installations are subject to statutory inspection obligations, under the Work Equipment Ordinance (Arbeitsmittelverordnung, AM-VO), the Workplace Ordinance (Arbeitsstättenverordnung, AStV) or the Limit Values Ordinance (Grenzwerteverordnung, GKV). I carry out these inspections within the scope of my professional authorisation and document them so that you have nothing to fear from a Labour Inspectorate (Arbeitsinspektorat) inspection.
Why periodic inspection?
Inspecting work equipment serves three purposes: identifying hazards early, demonstrably complying with legal requirements and, in the event of damage, being able to prove that the duty of care was fulfilled. The obligation does not arise from a single section of law, but from the interplay of several ordinances, depending on the type of work equipment.

What I inspect
I regularly cover the following groups of work equipment. For special cases (e.g. special lifting equipment), we clarify in a one-to-one conversation whether I have the professional authorisation or whether another body is a better fit.

Documentation: what you get
After the inspection, you don’t have loose sheets of paper, but a working system. My documentation stands up to scrutiny by the Labour Inspectorate and, in the event of a claim, by your insurer.
- Inspection log: for each item or group of work equipment, kept in chronological order
- Inspection report for each inspection (scope, findings, defects identified, recommended measures)
- Deadline overview: when the next inspection of each item of work equipment is due
- Proof that stands up to scrutiny by the Labour Inspectorate, your insurer or in the event of a claim
What I don’t inspect
Certain installations require an officially accredited inspection body or a special professional authorisation. For these inspections, I am happy to refer you to reliable partner companies.

Electrical inspections (E-Check)
Under ÖVE/ÖNORM, these require a specifically qualified electrician. Exception: the monthly visual inspection of the emergency lighting (I carry this out).

Pressure equipment, steam boilers, installations requiring monitoring
TÜV, ÖVGW or other notified bodies under DruckGerR, KessGV or the relevant ordinances; not within my inspection authority.

Lifts and power-operated lifting installations
Under HebeAnlV / AnVO by approved inspection bodies (e.g. TÜV); not within my inspection authority.
